after this long hard week, all i wanted to do was float away all the stress of late.
sean and i took to our friday night date night of heading to the pool, where we spent all of our time in the deep end. teaching me to how sink and shoot up like a spear to the surface. bless. all those lessons i took were just primers. it is sean who is really teaching me how to swim and be comfortable in water that is above my head.
and 5 minutes before the pool was closing, i got to do what i wanted to do all week. while sean got some laps in, i floated on my back, going back and forth and in circles, slowly sculling with my hands. looking up at the ceiling and humming a nameless tune.
and for those few minutes, my frustrations disappeared. everything melted away.
and it was heaven.

Glad I can help...
I've always found water to be very peaceful.
You're doing great too!
you're an excellent and patient teacher. key word: patient.
besides being a basic survival skill to have, i'm committed to trying surfing ;)
