sean and i made our way to the furthest point of kits beach where it was not as crowded as english bay. we found ourselves some front row seating on some big rocks. our very own box seats: completely unobstructed view and smack in the centre of the firework display. not even the puny little sand fleas jumping up and bouncing off our legs could stop us from enjoying the last night of the fireworks.
and the big surprise of the fireworks? the use of the madame butterfly song, un bel di vedremo for one part of the fireworks presentation.
such a coincidence because i JUST chosen this song to blog about it for this week's operamania 101.
