it's no secret that i love sweeping movie scores. i am a TOTAL movie soundtrack geek.
i'm working at my desk, listening to the soundtrack of gattaca and dreaming of space exploration.
...of course they say every atom in our body was once a part of a star...
a stylish movie about overcoming any obstacles through sheer force of will, spirit, passion and dreams. the beautifully tailored clothes. ah, the clothes. the look of it all. it worked so purr-fectly together.

I love this movie and the score. He is fighting his way from the underclass, refusing to be told what he can and cannot achieve... and dreaming of space.
plus a moving score... Ethan and Uma, who fell in love on this film.
good stuff.
the ultimate underdog movie.
reveals also that even though one can be born with all the (genetic/material) advantages in the world, that doesn't guarantee success or happiness, as portrayed by jude law's character.
we should watch it together sometime.
and go on a star-watching party some summer night.
