utterly spellbound

one of my most FAVOURITE songs ever by depeche mode (and i have MANY favourites songs by dm).

when the body speaks is so sensual that it's downright religious. never have dave gahan looked more sexier (and it's not because he's shirtless) then when he sings this song so passionately to 16,000 fans at their 2001 exciter tour in paris.

had i been one of the fans at the palais omnisport in paris, listening to this song, i seriously think that my heart would've burst; i would've stood so enraptured.

"one night in paris" the exciter tour was filmed by depeche mode's brilliant and long-time artistic collaborator anton corbijn, who also did a fine job at blowing me away with his direction for control, the music biopic of joy division's ian curtis.

this striking concert footage was shot on anamorphic 16:9 digital betacam using 13 cameras - just alittle videography ditty, you know, for those who appreciate it.
