a hundred hellos

pretty nifty this feedjit widget.

because i love traveling and making friends from the four corners of the earth, it delights me to no end to see where in the world recent visitors are from, when they stumble upon my periodic musings.

and then with eyebrow raised, i scratch my head pondering, how on earth did i crop up there?

bolivia, ecuador, brazil, chile, honduras, mexico? really? awesome. greece, qatar, ukraine, romania, hungary, czech republic, slovakia, italy, belgium, netherlands, spain, estonia, finland, ireland, croatia, slovenia? wowzers.

as my map changes daily, updating to the most recent 100 visitors, i find that right now besides north america, i've been surprisingly getting lots of hit from germany, as well as uk, france, australia and poland. besides my hometown, i get regular visits from london and paris. why hello, how do you do? et bonjour, comma ca va?

and now to my wonderment, i found out that my blog "the keys to success" was one of the many feedjit blogs popular with vancouver readers the day after i posted it.

asides from a smattering of friends, i don't really make it public to anyone else i know that i keep a blog. so this was a bit of a marvel.

i write because sometimes i have too many thoughts or ideas in my head and i just have to get it out before i explode. i write because sometimes there just isn't anyone around at the time that i can talk to and writing keeps me sane. but most of all, i write because i love words and this is one of the outlets in which i express myself.

and if i happen to make friends next door or halfway around the world through my blogging, i consider it a wonderful bonus. so for everyone who may stop by and peruse, hello there. and for those who actually stick around to read all about my silly misadventures, hi and thank you!
