new york, how do i miss thee? let me count the ways.

i miss.....
- gigs at irving plaza, webster hall and bowery ballroom
- exclusive previews and limited runs at the angelika theatre
- the egyptology section at the metropolitan museum
- the hall of bio-diversity at museum of natural history
- the hall of oceanic life at the museum of natural history
- central park
- washington square park
- strandbooks
- balducci's
- netflix!
- union square / east village / west village / lower east side / soho / chinatown - ANYWHERE BELOW 14TH STREET
- kidrobot & my plastic heart runs
- costume museum at the met
- trying out different flavours at jamba juice
- falafel sandwiches from chickpea
- pakoras, chana masalas and parathas from baluchi's
- beards papa cream puffs
- the iconic tiffany & co
- bergdorf goodman windows
- jaywalkers (just try to tell these "in a new york minute" new yorkers to wait)
- busy streets at 4AM
- apartment doormen
- hailing cabs at any street corner
- walking on the brooklyn bridge
- the fact that no city in the world does christmas up quite like new york
but i especially miss the feeling of waking up in the morning and thinking, "what AM i going to do today?" instead of "what is there to do today?"
until we meet again...i ♥ ny
