it's exactly one year ago today that i returned to vancouver.
a year that flew by just like that. how could it be that 12 months, 52 weeks, or 365 days passed by already? when i stop and think about it, i'm absolutely baffled as to how i got to this place so phenomenally fast. and what's transpired this past year that has left its imprint on me?
~ meeting my baby niece for the first time when she was 9 months old.
~ having the support and love (still!) of my best friends in all of my left of centre endeavours.
~ losing someone who i never thought i'd lose in this life. ever.
~ landing a job that i love and believe in.
~ missing my cat very much.
~ missing my car that i sold when i moved away. for i loved my car and i LOVE to drive. *sigh* for now, commuting is via the loser cruiser. (or public transportation)
~ rekindling my love for writing.
~ getting back into yoga minimum twice/week.
~ indulging in massage therapy twice/month.
~ going to school part time in pursuit of 3 associate certificates.
~ passing the 2.5 years mark of not eating meat. course, i would never call myself a vegetarian, as i eat seafood. but take your pick - i've been called a lacto-ovo-pesco vegetarian, pescetarian, semi-vegetarian or an aquatarian.
~ traveling to new york, london, paris and san francisco.
after living abroad for 2 years, i came back wondering if i could make a life again in the place where i was born and raised and not knowing if i would be able to pull it off to my liking. looking back at the year that just passed, i smile lop-sidedly and have one thing to say about my life thus far....not too shabby.
with blessings coming in and out of my yin/yang, my life is pretty flippin' good.
