i look forward to thursday nights and not because of that "mcdreamy" show. rather, i've been tuning in the past 3 seasons to watch supernatural. so good. love it. and it was the season's premiere tonight. not since the x-files have there been a cult tv show that does the paranormal so well. only supernatural is hipper, cooler and has 2 brothers and a 1967 chevy impala named metallicar as its leads. the brothers carry on the good fight, started by their father, battling demons, urban legends and other things that go bump in the night. and with sharp humour as well. so very cool.
and damn, do they ever know how to weave rock music into every episode. what other show can you hear hells bells, back in black and you shook me all night long by ac/dc, heat of the moment by asia, carry on my wayward son by kansas, supermassive black hole by muse, white rabbit by jefferson airplane, don't fear the reaper by blue oyster cult and hey man nice shot by filter? if anything, tune in just for the music.

damn writers strike all last year and the requisite summer re-runs. but now, supernatural is back with a vengeance. and they've gone and introduced angels and foreshadowed a battle into the plot. i'm on the edge of my seat.
can not wait.
